Product Name: Samue (Work Kimono) - Shijira-ori (Crinkled Weave) with Ajiro Pattern (Pre-dyed Fabric) Product Number: <12009> C/# NV Size: L Color: Navy Material: 100% Cotton This samue is made from fabric woven in the Enshu region and sewn in the same region. The Enshu region is a textile production area in western Shizuoka Prefecture. From yarn production to sewing, all processes are carried out with the excellent technology and skilled craftsmanship of the Enshu region. This product is manufactured in a factory where all processes are strictly managed, ensuring safety and security. It is made without the use of any harmful chemical substances or dyes. Please purchase with confidence. The base weave is Shijira-ori. The characteristic uneven texture (shibo) of Shijira-ori prevents sticking to the skin, creating excellent breathability and quick-drying properties. Made from skin-friendly cotton, it has excellent absorbency and is a lightweight and cool material for summer. The Shijira-ori fabric is woven in an Ajiro pattern. Ajiro is a traditional Japanese weaving pattern, derived from the net-like structures made of bamboo or wood used for catching fish. Symbolizing abundant catches, catching everything in one net, and scooping up good fortune, the image of fishing nets has made it an auspicious pattern loved since the Edo period. It also has the meaning of warding off evil by not allowing malicious spirits to pass through, making it a treasured pattern. As this is clothing that comes into direct contact with the skin, we recommend a safe and secure Japanese-made product. This is a summer garment due to the Shijira-ori weave. We recommend wearing it from early spring to early autumn. Wearing it in winter would be considered unfashionable. This is a manufacturer's inventory clearance item.
