Brand: Bromwell's Country/Region of Manufacture: United States (Michigan City, IN) Material: Tin, Metal Color: Cream with Red and Green Graphics Year Manufactured: 1979 (Confirmed by date code) Theme: Retro Farmhouse, Primitive Americana, Wheat Graphic Exceptional, collector-grade piece of vintage kitchen Americana: a Vintage Bromwell's No. 40-L 5-Cup Measuring Flour Sifter. This piece features a beautifully preserved retro green and red wheat graphic over a classic cream tin body. A Rare Historical Find: What makes this particular sifter incredibly unique is the presence of its original paper retail stock tag still perfectly affixed to the upper rim—a detail almost always lost to washing and time. The tag securely dates this item to November 1979 (indicated by the 11 79 date stamp) and shows an original retail price of $3.39. Finding this fragile paper intact and completely legible adds immense provenance for serious vintage kitchenware collectors. Condition Details: Interior: Exceptionally clean and brilliant. The interior tin walls and internal sifting wires show zero signs of heavy rust, caked residue, or flaking corrosion. Mechanism: The hand crank mechanism turns freely and operates smoothly. Exterior: Authentic vintage patina with light surface wear, minor paint scuffs, & small spots of superficial oxidation along the seams consistent with its age. No major dents or structural damage. Measurements: Height: 6.5 (highest pt) Diameter: 5 Total Width: Approx. 6.25
