An exceptionally rare vintage Mark Cross New York luxury smoking robe / dressing gown in stunning black tonal jacquard with an elegant woven longevity medallion pattern throughout. Crafted in Hong Kong during the British Crown Colony era, this robe embodies timeless old-money sophistication and classic gentleman's luxury. The rich black jacquard fabric has a beautiful lustrous sheen that reveals its intricate woven pattern as it catches the light. Features a classic shawl collar, self-tie belt, chest pocket, two large front patch pockets, long sleeves with turned cuffs, and a full-length silhouette. Mark Cross is one of America's oldest luxury houses, established in 1845, and vintage robes from the brand are exceptionally difficult to find. Mark Cross is documented as offering Hong Kong-made robes as early as the 1950s. This robe is conservatively estimated to date from approximately the late 1950s through early 1980s.
