This is a mouthpiece for the Flip Head Handle, designed to be used with a flute headjoint played vertically. There are two types: AM-1 and AM-2FLOW. This is the AM-2FLOW model (list price ¥25,000). Some users reportedly own both AM-1 and AM-2 and use them interchangeably (from YouTube). Purchased new in January 2026 from the official import agent. Used for approximately 10 minutes, once. It is stated to be washable, so I cleaned it immediately after each use and stored it in its case. There are no scratches or dirt, but this is my subjective opinion. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about minor details. It will be sent in its original box along with spare rubber rings for the inside of the mouthpiece. Holding items or creating dedicated listings is not possible due to Mercari rules. - Excerpt from the official import agent's page - [Less Air, More Resistance] The AM-2 Flow model has a narrower windway and a smaller internal mouthpiece space. The air resistance is slightly stronger. Players who do not want to consume much air, especially in the higher registers, will prefer the Flow model. It is recommended for classical players and beginners. The sound projection is less than the AM1, and the tone tends to be softer. Also, compared to the AM1, you can play for a longer duration on a single breath.
