Up for sale is a Russian folk instrument, the Balalaika (*^o^*) This is a representative string instrument symbolizing traditional Russian music, characterized by its triangular body and three strings. The body is inscribed with МОСКВА-80 (MOSCOW-80), suggesting it might be a model produced to commemorate the 1980 Moscow Olympics. This is a highly decorative and collectible item. ● Design Appeal The red decorative pattern on the front is a traditional design reminiscent of Khokhloma, a distinctive style of Russian folk art. It enhances both the rustic charm and the splendor of the balalaika. The triangular body is unique to the balalaika and has a presence that would make it a striking wall decoration. ● Meaning of the Russian Letters МОСКВА-80 (MOSKVA-80) on the surface means Moscow 80, referring to the 1980 Moscow Olympics. While the exact production date is unknown, if it is a commemorative model from that era, it is now a rare item and holds value as a collectible. ● Size Total Length: Approx. 67cm Maximum Width: Approx. 43cm Depth: Approx. 12cm ● Condition A basic sound check was possible, but it may require adjustment for playing. There appears to be some damage near the neck joint. Please understand that this is being sold as a display piece and in its current condition. Kindly check the photos for the condition before purchasing. [From Tama's Shop] Please note that the colors may appear different due to camera and lighting conditions.
