Immediate purchase is welcome. 1984 (Showa 59) T. Ochiai Handmade Mandolin —Japanese craftsmanship that continues to resonate through the ages. This is a musical instrument with sound, not mass-produced, carefully crafted by artisans one by one. The internal label shows a handwritten signature and seal, allowing you to feel the production background of the time and the story of this individual instrument. Handmade instruments of this class are very rare today, and well-preserved ones are decreasing year by year. ◽️ About this instrument Showa Vintage, made in 1984 ・Handmade by T. Ochiai ・Includes hard case ・Good external condition There are signs of age and use commensurate with its age. However, there are no major damages or fatal cracks, and it is in a condition that shows it has been carefully handled. ◽️ Sound and Appeal It resonates clearly even with a light touch, and its characteristic dry, deep tone is something that modern instruments lack. It possesses a resonance that only aged wood can provide, which can never be achieved with a new instrument. For those who: Are not satisfied with mass-produced items Appreciate the value of Japanese instruments from the Showa era Wish to own it as a collectible This instrument will satisfy both the joy of playing and the pleasure of owning. ◽️ Condition ・Sound output confirmed ・Neck has no significant warping (subjective) ・Strings are consumables and should be replaced *This is a used item. Please check the photos for the overall condition before considering your purchase. The value of T. Ochiai mandolins is being re-evaluated year by year, and market prices are trending upwards. It may become even more difficult to obtain instruments of this condition and age in the future. It is uncertain when we will encounter another instrument of this class. As this is a one-of-a-kind item, those who are interested should consider it as soon as possible. Click here for the manufacturer's site
