Japan Vintage. This is a very rare flat mandolin. It's unlikely to appear on the market often. The exterior has some age-related yellowing and cracks in the binding, but there are few scratches and it is in beautiful condition. On the curled part of the back of the body in image 7, there is a spot where the binding has cracked and turned white. However, this instrument has been stored without being played, so please understand and agree that it may require adjustment before considering your purchase. ↓The following is Gemini's appraisal result. The Morris MF-2000 is a mandolin model that was once manufactured by the Japanese musical instrument maker **Morris**. It is known as a relatively high-end model produced during the peak of Bluegrass music. Features of the MF-2000 (Japanese Morris model) • Model Position: It was considered one of the high-end models in Morris's mandolin lineup at the time. • Era: It is believed to have been manufactured primarily from the 1970s to the 1980s. • Rarity: As it is no longer in production, it rarely appears on the market and is often considered rare. • Users: There is information that it was used by professional musicians (e.g., Takahiko Ishikawa). Note: Confusion with models of the same name In search results, besides the Japanese Morris-made MF-2000, information about an F-style mandolin called MF-2000 from the overseas brand LeMarquis can also be found. • Japanese Morris MF-2000: A high-end vintage domestic model. • LeMarquis MF-2000: A relatively new mandolin for beginners to intermediate players. When Morris MF-2000 is mentioned, it is highly likely to refer to the Japanese Morris-made mandolin based on the context, but when searching for used items, it is important to carefully check the brand name and country of manufacture. The Japanese Morris-made MF-2000 can be cited as one of Morris's high-end mandolin models in response to inquiries about their high-end mandolin lineup. Click here for the manufacturer's site
