◎ This is a Suzuki Mandolin, model MC-836. The top is solid wood. The sides have a large grain similar to jacaranda, giving it a very luxurious feel (see images; we cannot confirm if it is jacaranda as we have no documentation, so please consider this for reference). It is larger than a standard mandolin. The total length is approximately 95.5 cm, the scale length is approximately 58 cm, and the nut width is approximately 38 mm. It is strung with round-flat strings. Both the neck and body are very sturdy and well-crafted (see images). ◎ Regarding scratches: There is a long scratch on the right side of the body top (see image). There is one shallow dent, about half the size of a grain of rice, to the left of the soundhole (see image). The back of the body has some light scuffs and scratches (see image). There are also a few small scratches on the edge of the body back (see image). Other than these, there are only a few very minor scratches and very light scuffs; there are no major scratches, cracks, or damage (see image). The metal parts, such as the tuning pegs, show some signs of metal fatigue but are in good condition (see image). The frets show some metal fatigue, dullness, and discoloration (see image). The fingerboard has some light wear marks and discoloration from playing (see image). ◎ The neck is straight with no warping, but there is a slight forward bow. The string height at the 12th fret is approximately 3.2 mm on the 4th string side (enough to fit two 1-yen coins with room to spare) and approximately 3.0 mm on the 1st string side (just enough to fit two 1-yen coins). If it is difficult to play in its current condition, there is room to adjust the bridge saddle by filing it down. The frets show wear of approximately 20-30% in some areas (this is a rough estimate), with about 70-80% remaining. The wear is primarily shaped by the strings. ◎ As this is a used item, there may be details about its condition, scratches, or other aspects that are not fully described or may have been overlooked. Therefore, those who are concerned about minor details should refrain from purchasing.
