We have developed a completely new pastel, Neopastel 6901, which combines vibrant, high-purity colors with exceptional lightfastness that lasts for 100 years. Neopastel 6901 achieves a unique texture that combines the softness of wax pastels with the rich drawing feel of oil pastels. Like our highly acclaimed oil pastels, Luminance 6901, it meets the ASTM D-6901 lightfastness standard. It consists of a total of 48 colors: 34 colors of LF1 (lightfastness grade I) and 14 colors of LF2 (grade II), selected after a three-month weather resistance test in the Arizona desert and 400 hours of UV exposure. 75% of the color chart is composed of single or two pigments, achieving pure and vibrant colors with reduced muddiness from mixing. Furthermore, many colors are shared with Luminance 6901, allowing for rich expression by utilizing different textures when used together. The body has an octagonal design that is easy to grip and prevents rolling. Its unique texture, which produces minimal dust, allows for comfortable drawing without the need for fixative.
