This is our classic Etchu hemp cotton fundoshi, hand-dyed with gentle, eco-friendly dyes. Please note that there may be subtle variations in color and shade compared to the photos. Also, the dye may transfer to other laundry items during the first few washes. We recommend hand-washing with a neutral detergent, perhaps during bath time, and once the color bleeding has stopped, wash it in a laundry net with other clothes. After washing, please reshape the garment and dry it in the shade. Please purchase with the above in mind. [Features] Made with a soft, lightweight, and smooth fluffy and smooth premium hemp cotton fabric (55% hemp, 45% cotton). The stretchy fabric is popular among those who engage in physically demanding work, and it holds up well to frequent use. This fabric does not fray, so we have left the edges raw. This allows it to dry faster and helps prevent the growth of bacteria. The edges curl naturally without fraying, giving it a natural and wild look. If you find the front panel too long, you can trim it yourself with scissors (it will not fray). [String Material and Craftsmanship] The string is made from carefully selected, sturdy yet soft unbleached cotton. The string width gradually tapers, reducing bulkiness at the front panel. [Size] Width: Approx. 30-32cm Length: Approx. 108-110cm String Length: Approx. 155cm String Width: Approx. 2.5cm (gradually tapers) (These are the measurements after washing. The fabric has some stretch initially.) Made in Japan [Notes] ● Please hand wash or use a laundry net if washing in a washing machine. ● Due to the nature of the stretchy hemp cotton fabric, please reshape and dry in the shade after washing. ● Occasionally, thick hemp threads may be woven into the fabric, or small dark spots may be present. Please do not pull on them forcefully. ● The warp and weft threads may be uneven due to traditional weaving methods; please understand this as a vintage-style characteristic. ● If you wish to adjust the length with scissors, please wash the item first. ● Due to the stretchiness of the fabric, the size measurements are approximate.
