Product details This is a precious, very rare, and beautiful wooden violin case.

The case features wood grain that appears to be beautiful mahogany.

The lid of the case is made from a thick board over 5cm, meticulously carved and crafted with great care and effort.
This is a 4/4 size violin case of superb craftsmanship.

The interior lining has 5 pockets of various sizes.
Considering its age, likely over 100 years, it is believed to be in relatively good condition with no tears.
The bottom fabric of the interior lining is designed to be removable for easier cleaning.

    Dimensions: 80 cm x 25 cm x 15 cm (depth)

The case key is missing (center of the case).
The case's opening and locking mechanisms operate smoothly.
The metal fittings appear to be German silver, so they would become beautiful if polished... however, they have not been polished intentionally at this time.

Additionally, it seems this case originally had a handle, as small screw holes are visible in the positions (left and right) where they would have been attached.

As this is a violin case for transport, it is designed to be lighter than it looks.

I purchased this case in Paris, France, a long time ago, deeply impressed by its beautiful wood grain and meticulous craftsmanship.
The shop owner in Paris emphasized that this case was made in Italy over 200 years ago.

(Please note: My profession is in wood carving instruction and Western furniture making, and my family members enjoy playing the violin.)

I would be grateful if it could be used with care.
    Thank you very much.

Upon inquiry, I have weighed the case.
This wooden case weighs 2.48 kg.
Many current, standard cases weigh 2.52 kg (please refer to the additional photos).
Personally, I consider this to be a storage case.
