◆ A Brush Workshop Inheriting Traditions from the Meiji Era Seishindo Dosa Brush 6-sun ◆ This is a 6-sun Dosa brush from Seishindo. It was purchased about 20 years ago and has been carefully stored. The equivalent product currently sold is priced at ¥39,600 (tax included) for the 6-sun size at the official Seishindo shop. (The brush head width is approximately 17.9cm and the length is approximately 5.1cm, a large size suitable for applying Dosa liquid evenly over wide surfaces. Official information states: 6-sun is ¥39,600, with a brush head width of approx. 17.9cm and length of approx. 5.1cm.) It is a slightly thicker specification made by blending two types of goat hair, with an increased amount of hair to hold plenty of Dosa liquid. Due to the use of high-quality materials, it is said to be usable as a painting brush as well. The handle is finished with genuine lacquer using the fuki-urushi technique, making it aesthetically pleasing, comfortable to hold, and durable. It is recommended to use this brush exclusively for Dosa liquid and not with paints, as it is intended for use with Dosa. As this item is from approximately 20 years ago, the color, finish, and appearance of the handle may differ slightly from currently sold products. The wooden handle has the Seishindo Saku (Made by Seishindo) stamp, giving it a dignity and presence as a tool that is not found in modern mass-produced items. [Size] 6-sun Brush head length: approx. 5.1cm Brush head width: approx. 17.9cm [Condition] Purchased approximately 20 years ago [Unused] Carefully stored since then As this is a long-term storage item, there are minor scratches, scuffs, cracks, and dirt on the wooden parts and painted areas due to age, as shown in the photos. Please examine the photos carefully, as perceptions of condition can vary. It will be carefully packaged with waterproof protection and bubble wrap. The generous bundle of goat hair, the natural wood grain handle, and the shape that fits comfortably in the hand possess the beauty unique to artisan tools made for longevity. This is a highly practical brush for those involved in Japanese painting and crafts, and it is also a very attractive item as an antique tool or atelier tool. Recommended Points Authentic Dosa brush made by Seishindo A high-quality brush currently priced at ¥39,600 Large 6-sun size, suitable for wide-area work Thick brush head using two types of goat hair High-quality materials usable as a painting brush Engraved with Seishindo Saku Recommended for crafts, Japanese painting, calligraphy, gold leaf application, bookbinding, and Japanese paper making. #Seishindo #SEISHINDO #SeishindoSaku #DosaBrush #DosaBake #Brush Click here for the manufacturer's site
