This is the AX-4 (4-string acoustic-electric bass) from Japanese manufacturer ATHLETE. ATHLETE was a brand that produced handmade acoustic-electric guitars and basses by Terada Musical Instruments from 1994 to 2000. The serial number on the back of the headstock reads 0 7 1994, leading us to believe this instrument was made in 1994. This is an early model 4-string acoustic-electric bass from ATHLETE, equipped with a Fishman preamp and piezo pickup as standard. It is an acoustic bass with a flame maple back, featuring a beautiful natural wood grain. ■Manufacturer: ATHLETE ■Model Number: AX-4 ■Accessories: *Everything shown in the images is included. ■Weight: Approximately 3.1kg ■There are some signs of use, such as dullness on the metal parts, scratches, dirt, and dents, but it is in relatively clean condition. *There is a scratch to the right of the bridge. ■Notes We have confirmed sound output and operation, but there is a possibility that it may not function or operate correctly after purchase.
