This is a very elegant houmongi (visiting kimono) made of tsumugi silk, likely from Shozan, with beautiful dyeing.
It features a gentle, plant-dyed color palette with cloud motifs and tie-dyeing for color separation.
The pattern, created with stencil-dyed yuzen, is incredibly delicate. Upon closer inspection, it depicts not a tea house scene, but rather the process of creating kimono fabric: spinning, indigo dyeing, tie-dyeing, and weaving.
There are also children playing and small birds depicted.
