High-output KUBOTA snow blower, model GS280-GJ-S. - Brand: KUBOTA - Model: GS280-GJ-S - Maximum Output: 7.5 PS - Continuous Rated Output: 5.5 PS / 1800 RPM - No-load Maximum Speed: 2000 RPM Starter motor (disassembled and attempted to fix stuck brushes, but brushes appear worn and barely reach the armature coil, so it should work with brush replacement). Engine can be started with the recoil starter. Maximum 7.5 PS. More powerful than small snow blowers in the 5 horsepower class. Tank, carburetor, and fuel cock have been disassembled and cleaned. There is some rust inside the tank that could not be removed, but it should not affect use. The up/down movement of the chute was modified with rivets and was not working, so a new hinge was fabricated and repaired to function like the genuine part. Crawler tracks have cracks; to prevent tearing, they have been reinforced on both sides with a total of 80 zip ties. All previously non-functional parts have been repaired. Actual snow removal performance has not been tested due to lack of snow, but all sequential operations have been confirmed. For those who struggled with snow this year, or those looking for an affordable snow blower for next year. Local pickup preferred. Please comment before purchasing, as it is also listed on other sites and may be sold out. February 15th: Oil changed. Spark plug replaced with a new one. February 15th: Tested snow removal in an area with snow. (It powerfully threw about 15 cm of wet, heavy snow. It should easily clear freshly fallen light snow.) This was a test run of about 10 minutes. A return spring has been added as a precaution because the governor sometimes returns slowly. This is an older snow blower, so it is recommended for those who are somewhat mechanically inclined and can maintain it themselves. No returns or exchanges (3N). Price reduced due to off-season.
