NO.541 ⭕️ Tosa Inkstone - Elaborately Crafted, Special Oval Shape ⭕️ Beautiful Stone Pattern, Elegant Appearance - A Piece Favored by Women [1] Length: 128mm [2] Width: 83mm [3] Thickness: 18mm Weight: 386g [4] Maker: Mihara Inkstone Studio, Kochi Prefecture [5] Engraved Signature: None (Tosa Inkstone sticker affixed to the back of the inkstone) [6] Box: Original paper box (137mm x 92mm x 26mm) ① Tosa Duanxi - 1 sheet of Tosa Inkstone pamphlet ② 1 yellow cloth [7] Condition: Near Mint - Unused [8] Shape: Oval Inkstone ◉ Tosa inkstones are quarried from high-quality slate found in veins within the valleys of Mihara Village, Kochi Prefecture. The stone is a deep blue-black, containing copper and silver flecks. Its extremely fine grit allows for quick ink grinding and produces rich, lustrous ink, closely resembling Chinese Duanxi stone. ◯ This piece is a small yet elaborately crafted oval Tosa inkstone that skillfully utilizes the natural shape of the stone. Three sides of the inkstone are smoothly finished, while only the bottom side intentionally retains a touch of the raw, dark brown stone surface as a unique accent. This is an individualistic piece that showcases the inkstone craftsman's sense of design. The stone pattern flows beautifully, appearing like scattered clouds from the upper right to the lower left. When light hits it, the hills and sea shimmer with a speckled brilliance, like scattered silver sand. The inner edge of the inkstone is sharply finished, feeling smooth to the touch of a fingertip. Its elegant form makes it a piece that women would likely favor. Please consider it. ◉ Those seeking perfection or who are overly sensitive, please refrain from purchasing. ◉ References Shiun Inkstone, Sato Tetsusaburo, Yukio, Tetsuji, Ogatsu Inkstone, Tororyusai, Endo Moriyuki, Hiroyuki, Abata Inkstone, Mine Inkstone, Hōseki, Hōryūkaku Inkstone, Abata Inkstone, Amemiya Seiken, Hyōbei, Yataro, Nabekura Ryūkei Inkstone, Shuseki, Takada Inkstone, Wakada Inkstone, Takashima Tiger-Pattern Inkstone, Morotsuka Stone Inkstone, Hōraiji Inkstone, Hōzan, Kokuji Inkstone, Nachiguro Inkstone, Gyokuseki, Kōhō, Akama Inkstone, Horio Takashi, Shinobu, Gyohō, Toshio, Yōichi, Tamaikeken, Yuiseki, Omori Chōsai, Shōryūzan, Benkei Inkstone, Baiyō, Yōdō, Yakushima Inkstone ※ Please check the images carefully. ※ Please be sure to read my profile. ※ ⭕️ Please view the other works I have listed so far.
