Up for sale is a genuine original pen and ink drawing by Alexander Valdman, dated 2002. Measuring approximately 12 x 10 inches, this detailed black ink work on paper likely served as a book illustration or preparatory artwork. It features fine linework characteristic of Valdman’s skilled illustrative style. Artist Background: Alexander Valdman (b. 1956, Odessa, Ukraine) is a highly trained artist and illustrator who graduated with honors from the prestigious Surikov National Academy of Art, School of Graphics in Moscow. He has created illustrations for books (including science fiction and literary works) and his paintings and drawings are held in private collections across Europe and the US, including museum collections. Condition Details: • Original hand-drawn pen ink on paper • Dated 2002 • Possible signature “AV” (please review photos closely) • Size: 12 x 10 inches (sheet size) • Unframed / ready for framing • Good vintage condition with minor signs of age consistent with a 2002 work (minor handling marks possible) This is a strong, collectible piece by a professional academy-trained illustrator whose works appeal to fans of traditional draftsmanship, book illustration, and Russian/Ukrainian art. Great for collectors of original drawings, sci-fi/fantasy illustration art, or fine pen ink works.
