Discover a charming piece of German postal history with this exquisite 1906 embossed postcard. The front features a vibrant chromolithograph of a lush floral arrangement, prominently displaying rich red and golden yellow roses nestled among delicate blue forget-me-nots and intricate green foliage. The elegant design is framed by an ornate border, with the words Herzliche Grüsse (Heartfelt Greetings) beautifully rendered in a floral script, accompanied by a poetic German verse. This postcard captures the artistic flair of the Golden Age of postcards, showcasing detailed embossing that adds a tactile dimension to its visual appeal. The reverse side reveals a divided back, a standard feature for international correspondence of the era, confirmed by the multi-lingual Weltpostverein (Universal Postal Union) text. A clear Oelsnitz, Germany postmark dated February 3rd, 1906, along with a German 5 Heller stamp, authenticates its vintage. The sender's handwritten German message and recipient's details add a personal touch, offering a glimpse into early 20th-century communication. This collectible postcard is a delightful artifact for enthusiasts of German ephemera, floral art, or early 20th-century postal history.
