Step back into the groovy world of 1970s novelty décor with this absolutely charming and wonderfully weird figural bird candle. Hand-crafted with a papier-mâché style wax body in earthy olive green with splashes of bright yellow, this rotund little character stands proudly on spindly twig-style wire legs with splayed claw feet — full of personality and retro flair. The face features an expressive black beak and googly-style eyes that give this bird an endearingly quirky look that feels right at home in the whimsical folk art and novelty craft aesthetic that defined the era. The original wick protrudes from the top of the body — never lit, never used. Details at a Glance: * Era: 1970s * Material: Wax (figural/novelty candle), wire/twig-style legs * Condition: Unused/Unlit — wick intact * Color: Olive green, yellow, white, black * Style: Whimsical / Folk Art / Retro Novelty * Display: Stands independently and securely This piece shows the natural aging you'd expect from a 50+ year old wax candle — slight oxidation and surface patina — which only adds to its authentic vintage charm. No breaks, no chips, legs are solid and stable. A rare survivor from the heyday of novelty candle-making. Perfect for collectors of 1970s kitsch, retro home décor, folk art, or anyone who simply appreciates a bird with serious personality.
