This is a vintage modernist geometric enamel brooch made of alpaca silver, featuring a distinct four-quadrant mosaic configuration inside a square frame. Geometric Layout: It utilizes a classic Mid-Century Modernist layout where small square tiles are nested inside raised metal framing blocks. Mixed Inlays: The individual segments are decorated using vibrant jewel-toned glass enamel work or crushed stone inlay work, showcasing rich shades of cobalt, crimson, turquoise, and sky blue. Origin: Pieces featuring this specific grid style, textured framing, and color blocking are highly characteristic of Mexican Alpaca / Silver artisan jewelry from taxco-style workshops or vintage European enamelist designers. This vintage Alpaca brooch features a stunning mosaic design with multicolor inlays in a square frame. Crafted in Mexico, it adds a timeless touch to your collection. • Stamped Alpaca Mexico on back • Features secure pin-back closure • Measures approximately 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches • Vibrant blue, red, and turquoise inlay accents Minor scratches and tarnishing visible on metal back.
