A Maru Obi is a luxurious, wide fabric (approx. 70cm wide) with an elaborate pattern woven throughout. It is made by folding this fabric in half, inserting a lining, and sewing one side shut. This creates a very substantial obi, historically used for formal attire such as bridal kimonos and Tomesode. ■ Material: Unknown, possibly rayon ■ Color: Light greige ■ Features: ・Ozone deodorization and sterilization service included ■ Size: Length approx. 380cm Width approx. 32.5cm ■ Product Condition: ・Slight signs of wear ・Personal storage item, antique (pre-WWII) ・Several faint sunspots on the end from storage ・A few faint spots of foxing (see photo 9) ・Faint foxing around 130cm from the hand-tied end (see photo 10) ・One small hole near the hand-tied end (see photo 11) ・Loose threads at the hand-tied end (see photo 12).
