This frame has a shape classified as pant, which could be described as a modern take on the Boston shape. While this style often features a slightly slim design, this frame has been given added thickness for a unique look. We believe those who enjoy round glasses will appreciate this design. The front is sharply flat, but the outer edge of the frame is cut to create depth and a pleasing expression depending on the light. Additionally, the temples extend from the top of the frame, emphasizing the deep vertical lens shape. The frame is close to an inverted triangle, offering a classic, clean look with a subtle sense of unconventionality and looseness. The vintage-inspired color adds to its atmospheric design. We highly recommend this frame to those who appreciate a unique aesthetic and individuality that sets them apart from common frames.

■guepard / GUEPARD
An eyewear collection by Mr. Yamamura of Kobe-based vintage eyewear store SPEAKEASY and Mr. Yanagihara of Sapporo-based vintage eyewear store Fre'quence. Both are specialists in Frame France (vintage French-made frames), which led the world in the 1940s-50s with its high quality. They have jointly published the archival book Frame France, featuring detailed, life-size photographs of each precious deadstock pair of glasses, disassembled down to the smallest screw. Based on the timeless designs and details of French vintage eyewear, they have directed this collection to be more contemporary by modernizing only the sizing, allowing more people to experience the atmosphere of French vintage frames without excessive modification. Each piece is handcrafted by artisans.
