Perfect for washable kimonos and casual kimonos! ■ Size: LL Size Length: Approx. 67cm Sleeve length: Approx. 57cm Width: Approx. 66cm (May have slight variations) ■ Material: Main body: 100% Cotton Half collar: 100% Polyester ■ Features: - Main body uses Takashima Chijimi fabric - Features okumi (front overlapping panels) for a larger front overlap, making it less likely to come undone - Bat-collar tailoring for a snug fit - Comes with a summer-style ro (gauze-like) half collar - The half collar is not removable, but you can wear it year-round by sewing a different half collar over it. - Can insert a collar stiffener (sold separately) - Includes a waist tie at the back - No eri-nuki (neck-scooping fabric), but the back hem can be pulled to adjust the neck opening - Sleeves feature cute cotton lace - Easy care: Machine washable on the delicate cycle - Made in Japan ■ Product Condition: - New, currently in production What is a Half-Juban? Originally worn by dancers instead of a full juban, it's a clever combination of an undergarment and a juban. It's less likely to come undone because leg movements don't affect the upper body, and it's easier to put on than a full juban. It also allows you to wear kimonos with varying sleeve lengths (like those found in recycled kimonos) without worrying about the juban sleeve length. By sewing on Velcro at the armholes and preparing interchangeable sleeves, it can easily transform into a uso-tsuki juban (a juban with detachable sleeves). While a full juban is necessary for formal occasions, a half-juban is recommended for casual scenes due to its ease of wear and care.
