Artificial Skin Chiiga for Okinawa Sanshin * * * * * * This chiiga is made with a slightly thicker skin, producing a pleasant sound that is not overly sharp. * The thickness of the skin is the same as our other artificial skin chiiga, with only a different design. Artificial skin chiiga is durable and will not tear, allowing for long-term use. Compared to a snakeskin chiiga, the sound changes less over time. However, with years of playing, it can develop a beautiful sound comparable to snakeskin. While snakeskin chiiga (traditional skin) produces excellent sound, it requires significant care and maintenance, and its sound is affected by changes in temperature and humidity. Even reinforced snakeskin chiiga, while less affected by temperature and humidity changes than traditional snakeskin, is still influenced by them. Artificial skin chiiga is minimally affected by temperature and humidity, making it easier to handle. The sound of artificial skin chiiga varies depending on the thickness of the skin and how it is stretched. We hope you will experience how artificial skin can also produce a great sound with long-term use! The holes for the neck are generally pre-drilled, but may require further processing or adjustment to fit your specific sanshin neck. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * We sell sanshin, perform sanshin maintenance and repairs, and sell sanshin and related accessories.
