Reason for B-Grade: I wasn't entirely satisfied with the overall balance. ??Features of this Putty Knife: The best part is the anko (filling)! With the anko, it has thickness, and the feel when you hold it is fantastic! You really have to try holding it... When spreading (pulling) putty, the reach becomes longer, and it should be easier to create clean lines! It's completely different from the flat, flimsy knives you find in stores! It will definitely make putty work more enjoyable. ??Background of Making This Putty Knife: I used to be really bad at putty work... I could never apply it well. By chance, a craftsman friend of mine had a handmade knife with an anko filling. I borrowed it and tried it. I was truly amazed at that time. It was so easy to use, and I could apply putty just like a skilled craftsman! I desperately wanted a similar knife, but I couldn't find one anywhere. So, I decided to make one myself. Indeed, the thick knife with the anko filling was easy to use! As I was making them, other craftsmen around me asked, Make one for me too! And somehow, I've ended up making over 10,000 of them! I believe you'll come to like putty work and find it enjoyable! ??Detailed Explanation from Here On: This knife is made from 0.4mm stainless steel. 0.4mm is the same thickness as Meiko's knives. I felt it was a bit stiff, so I made the blade edge slightly longer. I believe it has a comfortable stiffness. Please give it a try. The coating is one coat of 2-component urethane sanding sealer, followed by two coats of 2-component urethane clear topcoat. I believe it's a very durable coating. I've made a considerable number of putty knives, and from those, I'm listing items with minor scratches, slight distortions, misalignments, or minor balance issues as B-grade products.
