# Click here for our list of stag beetle and rhinoceros beetle products on Mercari! Recommended for those who want to raise Great Horned Stag Beetle larvae on substrate! Introducing our Super High Calorie Substrate for Great Horned Stag Beetles with excellent nutritional value. 10 liters x 1 bag 3999 yen (Free Shipping) Comes in a resealable bag for convenient storage. We can accommodate additional bags. We will ship the quantity you desire. This is a calorie-enhanced substrate made from 100% oak sawdust, which Great Horned Stag Beetles prefer most, and finished with the highest quality Himalayan Hiratake mushroom culture. It is a specially selected calorie substrate where ordinary Himalayan Hiratake substrate is further micronized for easier consumption, and fortified with 3 times the amount of nutritional additives such as trehalose, glucose, chitosan, royal jelly, highly active gluten, arginine, calcium, minerals, enzymes, yeast, special amino acids, and symbiotic bacteria. We do not use any spent substrate. Instead, we crush fresh mushroom culture made from raw sawdust and carefully ferment it indoors. This is our ultimateこだわり (kodawari - meticulous attention to detail) substrate, triple-fermented with significant cost and time investment. Other companies' fermented substrates use spent substrate as raw material or ferment outdoors, leading to the proliferation of unwanted insects and fruit flies. Our calorie substrate is made by carefully fermenting freshly produced mushroom culture indoors under controlled conditions, ensuring absolutely no contamination with unwanted insects. Thanks to the consistently large individuals produced, this substrate has a very high repeat customer rate. Even with the same mushroom culture, substrate finished with Himalayan Hiratake mycelium is most preferred by stag beetles and results in larger individuals. Himalayan Hiratake is expensive and difficult to obtain. This substrate has been developed over many years of research specifically for Great Horned Stag Beetles, both domestic and foreign. While it is excellent for Great Horned Stag Beetles, it is also readily consumed by Miyama Stag Beetles and Sawtooth Stag Beetles. This substrate is also popular among breeders of Sumatran Stag Beetles and Rainbow Stag Beetles. It is also recommended for Forked Stag Beetles! (Naturally, it is also highly consumed by foreign and domestic rhinoceros beetles such as Hercules beetles.) The key to raising large adult stag beetles is to feed the larvae plenty of high-quality food during their larval stage. With high-quality substrate, stag beetle larvae will continue to eat voraciously. It is versatile and economical, as it can be used for filling bottles, portioning into pudding cups, or as a laying substrate. Separate shipping fees apply for Okinawa and remote islands.
