This turn-of-the-century volume features a striking red cloth cover with an intricate Art Nouveau-style illustration of hemp plants in black and white, accented with gilt lettering on the front and spine. A notable piece of regional literature, it explores themes of faith, science, and nature within the historical context of Kentucky's agricultural landscape. The decorative binding makes it a beautiful addition to any collection of vintage Americana or classic literature. Illustrated. 23-25 have become unattached. The binding is still good other than a slight detachment in front and 23-25 Heavy discoloration. The book is pretty. Great for staging too.
