PENDLETON Beaver State 60s Reversible Chief Joseph 32”x42” Wool Fringe Blanket This 32” x 48” preowned, vintage reversible wool blanket by Pendleton Beaver State is from the product line historically marketed as Robes and Shawls and features a Southwestern or Native American-inspired design. This specific pattern is often known as the Chief Joseph design, symbolizing bravery with bold arrowheads and geometric patterns, and honoring Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce Tribe. The fabric was woven in American mills in Pendleton, Oregon, and the blankets are often made in the USA, featuring vibrant colors, including red, black, orange, and yellow in your image, and is reversible. The fringe is 9” long and is in tact, and goes all the way around the piece, which makes this item more rare. Due to its age, most likely from the 1960s, there is wear and tear, small holes here and there, but nothing significant that would take away from the beauty of this piece, which can be used as a throw blanket or a shawl.
