Beautiful vintage Indian brass tap/counter bell featuring stunning Rajasthani meenakari champleve enamel work. A rich red ground is decorated with intricate hand-engraved floral and foliate motifs filled with blue, green, and white enamel — a hallmark of traditional Jaipur/Moradabad brassware craftsmanship. The top knob is also enamel-decorated with a detailed medallion design. The dome sits on an open cage iron clapper mechanism that produces a clear ring when the knob is pressed. Stamped HB on the interior base. DETAILS: Material: Brass with champleve enamel Dimensions: 3.5 tall x 3 diameter Origin: India (Rajasthan/Uttar Pradesh) Age: Mid-20th century, circa 1940s–1970s Maker's mark: HB stamped on base Clapper mechanism intact and functional Patina consistent with age CONDITION: Good vintage condition. Enamel is largely intact with minor wear consistent with age. Natural brass patina throughout. Bell rings clearly. A wonderful decorative piece or functional addition to a desk, office, or collection of Anglo-Indian antiques.
