A versatile umbrella that folds compactly and is also effective as a sunshade.
If you have rain gear, do you really need an umbrella in the mountains? No, not necessarily.
While one hand will be occupied, you won't unnecessarily get your upper body wet. Especially during hot and humid periods, it can be very uncomfortable to wear a hardshell and get sweaty. In forested areas below the treeline on trails, there are many situations where an umbrella is more comfortable than wearing rain gear.
Furthermore, it would be a waste of equipment to only use the umbrella when it rains.
This Six Moon Designs SILVER SHADOW features a special coating on its silver surface that reflects sunlight, keeping you cool from the scorching sun as a sunshade.

This SILVER SHADOW mini is as light as the carbon model at 193g, yet it's a folding umbrella type. Its storage space is 40% shorter than the regular version.
The shaft is shorter than the regular model, and while its wind resistance is inferior to the carbon version, it has the advantage of being able to be stored compactly inside your backpack rather than on the outside.
Recently, many people prefer simple, alpine-style UL backpacks without mesh, so this umbrella is likely to be seen more often.
By effectively using this umbrella on both sunny and rainy days, your mountain adventures will undoubtedly become more enjoyable. Why not consider incorporating the umbrella style into your gear on this occasion?
