Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic vintage 1960s to early 1970s Junior Girl Scout Sash. This piece represents a great slice of southern scouting history, coming out of the Northwest Mississippi Council (Troop 247). The sash is loaded with official vintage insignia, showing charming evidence of being hand-stitched by a Scout or parent decades ago. Included Insignia & Patches: * Council ID: Curved red-and-white N.W. MISS. COUNCIL strip * Troop ID: Matching green block felt numbers forming 247 * Troop Crest: Round yellow floral design patch * Award: Metal membership star pin with a green felt backing disc * Leadership: Embroidered gold Junior Aide wings patch * 7 Round Proficiency Badges: Includes Crossed Keys (Sign of the Arrow/Hospitality), Artist (Palette/Brush), Beach/Sun (Swimming), Backyard Fun (Charcoal Grill), Music (Treble Clef), Cook (Mixing Bowl), and the traditional Gypsy hiking badge. Condition: Excellent vintage condition! The dark green fabric is structurally sound, clean, and free of dry rot or heavy staining. The patches are brightly colored and firmly attached.
