Purchased at Living Motif in Roppongi, this item has never been used. It was opened only once for photography, and of course, there are no defects or stains. The length is 73 cm, and it opens to a diameter of 80 cm. Here is a description of the product: It features a tassel, giving it an elegant feel, truly a product worthy of Living Motif. It seems like it will be very useful during these seasons. Brand Name: Kitsune no Tasuki Material: 100% Cotton (Umbrella fabric) Dyeing Technique: Chusen (Hamamatsu Chusen) This technique, which began in the Meiji era, allows for the same color to be dyed on both the front and back of the fabric. It is characterized by its deep colors, unique to handcrafted work, utilizing the bleeding and blurring of the dyes. Price: ¥20,900 (tax included) What is Chusen (注染)? Chusen is a dyeing technique where a stencil is used to apply a paste to block the dye, and then the dye is poured (注ぐ - sosogu) onto it. Each piece is created with a subtle, unique texture through the craftsman's handwork. It's also appealing how it becomes more familiar and develops a richer character with use. #parasol Click here for the manufacturer's site
