Updated: 2026.5.20 For your peace of mind, we offer anonymous, tracked shipping via Yu-Packet Post Mini. --- These are new seeds with an expiration date of October 2026. This is a manufacturer's product. The sowing season is here. Please prepare according to your local climate. --- These are repackaged seeds from Takii Seed Co. The seeds are not treated with pesticides. --- Nasturtiums are annual plants characterized by their lovely round leaves and vibrant flower colors. They can be enjoyed for their ornamental value, and both the flowers and leaves can be eaten as herbs. They have a pungent spiciness and add color and accent to salads. Why not try them as an unusual flower or vegetable? Photos 1, 3-5: Flowering reference These are past flowering photos. These flowers bloomed from Takii seeds. Photo 2: Example of seeds These will be shipped in pouches refilled from a large bag product. Please note that the seed packet and instructions are not included. Expiration Date: October 2026 Origin: Tanzania Germination Rate: 65% or higher Pesticide Treatment: None [Flower colors are mixed] There may be variations in seed size and color. The flower color will not be known until they bloom. Seeds are placed randomly. Please understand that small seeds may be included. Photo 6: Taken on November 11th This is the condition of seedlings that sprouted in the fall from summer self-sown seeds, as of November. They did not reach flowering stage as they withered with the frost, but the leaves could be harvested. While generally spring-sown, fall sowing also seems possible. In cold or frigid regions, sowing around June may also be possible. Please adjust according to your local climate. * Sowing Period: April-May (June, September-October) * Optimal Germination Temperature: Around 20°C (68°F) * Flowering Period: June-October * Harvest Period: June-October They are somewhat weak against intense summer heat, so if planting in planters or pots, it's best to move them to a partially shaded location. * In recent years, perhaps due to excessive summer heat, the plants in the field did not survive the summer and withered. Observing the growth of self-sown seeds, while flowering may be difficult if sown again after the heat subsides, leaf harvesting seems possible until the first frost.
