This is a late 70s to 80s vintage, made in England Long John style motorcycle jacket. Size: Feels like a US 40 Shoulder width: 47cm Body width: 57cm Length: 59cm Sleeve length: 64cm Color: Black Although not explicitly stated, it is undoubtedly made in England. It is believed to be an English-made garment. Features an Albert zipper from the era. Made of sheep leather. This is a very rare Long John jacket. It's extremely uncommon to find vintage American motorcycle jacket designs made from sheep leather. The design is in the American motorcycle jacket style of the time. It's a rare type that, like the Sid Vicious-worn 50s rider's jacket, lacks snaps on the upper lapel. The snaps on the back collar are reminiscent of American motorcycle jackets like the Schott Riders 613 One Star. Compared to American motorcycle jackets that primarily use cowhide, this one uses sheepskin, which is characteristic of Long Johns and is rarely seen. The main zipper is an Albert zip, commonly found on Long Johns, while the pocket and sleeve zippers are YKK zippers, also typical of Long Johns from that era. Those familiar with vintage leather jackets will likely recognize this from the photos. While many vintage sheepskin leather jackets are in poor condition, this one is remarkably clean.
