This is an elephant xylophone from Ed.Inter. My child scribbled on it with a pencil, and although I tried to erase it with an eraser, a faint mark remains. It produces accurate tones with 8 notes: C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C. Retail price: ¥11,000 The following is quoted from a sales website: High-quality xylophone made in Japan This wooden xylophone toy is carefully handcrafted one by one in Japan. It features a simple and cute elephant shape, a light and pleasant sound, and gentle colors. To ensure long-lasting use, every aspect, from materials to craftsmanship, is made in Japan with great attention to detail. It uses domestic Japanese maple, which is resistant to scratches and cracks and is also used for furniture. The corners are beveled and carefully sanded to prevent injuries. It is finished with safe domestic paints that are safe for babies to lick or put in their mouths, making it a perfect first musical instrument. Its simple and elegant design also makes it a lovely interior decoration when left out in the room. Precisely tuned sound The keys of the xylophone are tuned by Japanese artisans, who carefully shave the underside of each key to match its weight and density. Thanks to this meticulous craftsmanship, the xylophone produces an incredibly accurate and gentle wooden sound, far beyond what you would expect from a toy. With the basic 8 notes of Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Ti, Do, children can easily grasp the differences in pitch without getting lost in complex scales. Stimulates the five senses! Music play, which allows children to engage with music while having fun, is a highly recommended toy. It stimulates various senses, including hearing, the brain, sight, and motor skills. By being exposed to different types of sounds from a young age, such as loud and soft sounds, high and low sounds, it is said that children develop their musicality and their ability to distinguish sounds. Through questions like Why does it make a sound? and discoveries like The sound of〇 is different from△!, their curiosity and spirit of inquiry are also nurtured. Furthermore, hitting the xylophone with the sticks is actually quite challenging. Babies initially perceive objects on a flat plane, so they learn by repeatedly trying to understand the distance to an object and how far they need to reach. Through this process, they gradually develop spatial awareness and learn to control the movement and force of their hands to hit the desired spot. Click here for the manufacturer's site
