Iai-do Authentic High-Grade Iai Sword Nihon Antique Gallery Goro Nyudo Masamune Replica - Daito (Long Sword) [Set Contents] - Main body - Saya (scabbard) *Items other than those shown in the photos, such as the original box, are not included. *The sword pillow used for photography is also not included. This is an iai sword, so it does not have a blade and cannot cut. It is a safe martial arts tool that does not require a registration certificate. This is a top-quality iai sword made by Nihon Antique Gallery. Original retail price at release: Set of Daito and Shoto - approximately ¥160,000 This is a high-grade iai sword replica of Masamune made by Niagi. This is a later production model, characterized by its kakitsume groove and polished blade, designed also for display. As it is constructed for iai-do, it can be used without issue for kata practice or suburi (swinging practice). It produces a light whoosh sound when swung due to the groove. *Please note that it is not durable enough for sparring practice. Also, if you use it for practice, please ensure regular maintenance. The blade has some minor scuff marks and age-related wear, but it is in relatively clean condition. There is no looseness in the koiguchi (mouth of the scabbard). Please confirm the condition from the photos and purchase only if you are satisfied. Nihon Antique Gallery has ceased manufacturing iai swords, making this a rare piece. The Masamune replica, which was Niagi's flagship model, is particularly beautiful in its hamon (temper line) and koshirae (mountings), offering a sense of satisfaction just by owning it. Please consider this opportunity. *As this is a low-price listing, please refrain from significant price reductions. [Goro Nyudo Masamune Replica Specifications] Blade: Special alloy, ancient sword style for iai-do, thin blade finish Kakitsume groove included Tsuka-maki (hilt wrapping): Genuine ray skin with pure cotton Rikyucha colored ito (cord) twisted wrap Menuki (ornaments): Warrior equipment motif (brass) Fittings: Kashira (pommel), Fuchi (collar), Men-bashi and Yorosode motifs (copper) Tsuba (hand guard): Plum and bamboo motif, gold inlay iron, hand-finished Saya (scabbard): Black lacquer, ito-maki style finish - Masamune Daito Overall length: Approx. 101 cm Blade length: Approx. 71 cm (excluding habaki) Overall weight: Approx. 970g Weight without saya: Approx. 772g Tsuka (hilt) length: Approx. 24 cm Sori (curvature): Approx. 1.8 cm *All dimensions are approximate. *Please understand that we cannot answer specialized questions regarding iai-do. *The manufacturer has gone out of business and there are no official specification sheets, so the above specifications include estimations based on external appearance. We cannot provide compensation for any discrepancies with expert appraisals. #NihonAntiqueGallery #Niagi #NAG #Soshuden #Masamune #Iaido #IaidoSword #ReplicaSword #PracticeSword Click here for the manufacturer's site
