Replica Sword (Iai Sword) First release, originally ¥52,000 ~ Discounted Price: ¥46,000 Introducing a replica of the Higo Dōtanuki Masakuni (Kozuke no Suke). Masakuni initially used the name Masakatsu. Upon the entry of Kato Kiyomasa into Kumamoto Castle, he became an employed swordsmith and was granted the name Masakuni by Kiyomasa-ko. Dōtanuki swords became popular for their strength, being unbreakable, unbendable, and sharp, leading to them being sought after by warlords. Masakuni was later recognized for his achievements and received the title of Kozuke no Suke. Type: Iai Replica Sword (Custom Order) Blade: Zinc-hard alloy with a groove (shinogi) Temper line: Primarily straight with occasional irregular waves, a double temper line, truly a replica of Dōtanuki Masakuni. Handle: Black lacquer with ray skin finish Handle wrap: Black pure silk, twisted wrap Fuchi-kashira: Higo rock design (antique), iron Menuki: Lion design (authentic) Tsuba: Large tsuba, spool design (iron) Habaki: Silver finish Seppa: Thick decorative finish and copper-alloy Saya: Black stone pattern (with hishi-dome) Sageo: Navy blue with gold, Kakuchō weave Overall length: 106cm Blade length: 2 shaku 4 sun 5 bu (approx. 76.5cm including habaki), standard shape Handle length: Approx. 26cm Base width: Approx. 3.2cm, base thickness: 7.0mm Tip width: Approx. 2.2cm, tip thickness: 6.6mm Weight: Approx. 981g (without saya) Curvature: Approx. 2.0cm The mounting and blade are made to be substantial and powerful, perfect for your training. Satisfying for both high-quality display swords and cosplay swords. Please take this opportunity to add it to your collection. P.S. Even with replica swords, regular oiling is recommended. Especially for those practicing iaido, applying sword oil before practice is recommended. It will make drawing the sword smoother and reduce rattling sounds.
