Thank you for looking. We are offering a six-panel folding screen, believed to be from the late Edo period (around the early 1800s). Each panel features meticulously painted small works by multiple different artists, creating a captivating finish that resembles an art collage. The paintings themselves are thought to be even older, dating back to the late 1700s. Please understand that this is based on family tradition and research, as the screen has not undergone professional appraisal. It has been carefully stored in an attic since 1972 and was recently opened with care. This is a precious item that has been passed down within the family for over 100 years. Regarding shipping, as there is no commercially available box, a custom-made box will be crafted to fit the screen's dimensions, and it will be carefully packaged. It will be wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped via Yamato Transport with a fragile designation for secure delivery. Please rest assured that shipping costs are included in the product price. Please examine the photos for detailed condition. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We hope you will consider this exquisite piece of traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Thank you. Click here for the manufacturer's site
