Product details Vintage Kordes & Lichtenfels German Modernist Wire Frame Tie Clip - 2.5”Brand: Kordes & Lichtenfels (K&L)Era: Mid-Century Modern (circa 1950s / 1960s)Origin: Crafted in Pforzheim, GermanyDetails:Up for sale is a stunning piece of mid-century German menswear design. This unique tie clip features a distinctive open wire-frame flying wing tension design, centered by a smooth, vibrant purple cabochon dome. Produced by the historic German jewelry house Kordes & Lichtenfels (K&L), this sleek accessory perfectly captures the geometric style of European Modernism.Stone: Vibrant purple cabochon (molded art glass/faux amethyst)Metal: Bright silver-tone finish; likely high-quality German silver-plating (Amerik) or rhodium-plated base metal.Mechanism: Classic split-wire tension bar. The clip mechanism is fully functional and retains a strong, firm grip.Condition:Good vintage condition with beautiful structural integrity. The maker's hallmark stamp on the reverse collar connector is significantly worn/faded from decades of authentic use, but the horizontal indentation layout matches the iconic K&L Pforzheim template. Metal shows minimal scratching and maintains a bright luster. Please review all photos, including the measurement photo, for exact condition details.Measurements:Length: Exactly 2.5 inches (ideal for classic standard-width neckties)Smoke-free home. Perfect for collectors of vintage menswear, rockabilly aesthetics, or mid-century European jewelry artifacts! Offers welcome.
