Specifications ◆Model Name: GBR640 ◆Color: Ni/Nickel ◆Peg Configuration: L4 (for right-handed players) ◆Accessories: Mounting bushings x4, screws x16, instruction manual, dedicated wrench ★Weight: Approx. 286g (including all parts) Introducing the GBR640 from GOTOH's RES-O-LITE series, popular for its exceptional lightness and unwavering precision. This is the reverse-wind model, while the GB640 is the standard-wind model. Made in Japan with high quality GOTOH craftsmanship! Its tuning stability is unmatched. While it might feel slightly heavy just by looking at it, the impact of actually lightening the headstock is far greater than you might imagine. When the balance between the headstock and body improves, the center of gravity shifts, significantly changing the perceived weight. Lightening the headstock not only helps to improve headstock dive but also supports faster fingerwork by reducing strain on your left hand, leading to fewer mistakes. Initially, some users reported a reduction in low frequencies and poor sound projection due to the reduced weight. However, through repeated improvements since its release, these issues have been resolved. Instead, it reduces boomy, unwanted low frequencies, resulting in a tight sound with excellent projection. The torque of the tuning pegs can be adjusted with the included wrench. Even small details have been carefully considered, making this a part that enhances your experience with your cherished instrument. GOTOH tuning pegs are known for their performance, and choosing this model is a safe bet. As long as you pay attention to the screw hole positions, replacement is easy! Recommended for beginners looking to modify their bass! Tuning accuracy is essential for developing a precise sense of pitch and for delivering great live performances. The first components to receive the vibration of the plucked string are the tuning pegs, nut, and bridge. If you cut corners here, even a body and neck made of excellent wood will be rendered meaningless. For screw hole spacing and other details, please refer to the official GOTOH website.
