《ARCOPEDICO®︎》
Founded in Portugal in 1966.
The founder, Elio Parodi, an authority in anatomy and ergonomics, was inspired by Portugal's unique terrain with its many cobblestone slopes that put a strain on the legs and feet. Through extensive research, he developed and patented orthopedic shoes focused on arch support.
The sole, where direct pressure is applied, is designed to distribute pressure and reduce strain, resulting in shoes that reduce foot fatigue and pursue easy walking and comfort. The name ARCOPEDICO means foot arch in Portuguese, reflecting Elio Parodi's strong belief that arch support is the foundation for promoting the health of the entire body. This explains why their shoes are supported by medical professionals in their home country of Portugal.
The basic sole design has remained unchanged for half a century since its founding, with skilled artisans meticulously crafting each pair. This legacy has spread to many people in Japan and approximately 50 countries worldwide, and ARCOPEDICO®︎ continues to be loved as a brand that creates beautiful comfort shoes.
