Santa Maria Novella was born in Florence, Italy, with a history dating back to the 13th century. It is said to have originated from monks cultivating and blending herbs and flowers to heal people. This monastery later became the Santa Maria Novella Church. Even after becoming a favored brand of royalty and nobility who built Florence's prosperity, including Napoleon, the brand continues to inherit the methods developed by the monks and is produced based on recipes from that era. While state-of-the-art equipment is introduced in their own factories, some products are still made by hand, one by one, even today. The products, made with a commitment to natural ingredients, all exude a sense of warmth. As they use naturally cultivated herbs and natural oils, they are a rare brand in this era, with individual differences in scent strength and color intensity that may occur due to climate, soil, and the quality of the flowers. This is one of Santa Maria Novella's most iconic items, potpourri in a silk sachet. Roots, stems, and petals are generously used without waste. What is particularly noteworthy is that even today, the ancient methods are preserved and the product is made by hand, despite the time and effort involved. When you first start using it, please pierce the inner plastic bag with a thick needle-like object so that it penetrates to the contents. If the scent weakens or the leaves inside begin to dry out, try adding more holes. Please note that oil may seep out while it is fresh. Purchased in April. It has been stored in a cool, dark place at home, but it is still personal storage. We would be happy if those who do not mind this would be interested. Click here for the manufacturer's site
