These are logs used for shiitake mushroom cultivation for 3-5 years, cut into pieces. These are domestic Konara oak logs. They are quite worn out, but how about using them for insect breeding? As shown in the photos, there are variations in size, diameter, length, mycelial penetration, and hardness for each piece. Also, some logs have peeling bark or holes, and occasionally insects may be present. If you are concerned, please heat-treat them before use. ?Size Length: Approximately 140mm Diameter: Approximately φ70-φ60mm Includes a total of 11 pieces. ?Hardness Around the bark, they are soft enough for a toothpick to penetrate. *These logs, used for shiitake cultivation, have well-penetrated mycelium between the bark and are thoroughly decomposed. *They can also be used as food for larvae of rhinoceros beetles, etc. *Some people also use them as perches for adult insects. ?Notes *As these are fully decomposed logs, parts of the product may crumble easily. Please handle with care after receiving. *No treatment for miscellaneous insects has been performed. If you are concerned, please heat-treat before use. *Due to the nature of the product, changes in size and texture over time, cracks, peeling bark, and the occurrence of mold or moss may occur. *We will ship via RakuRaku Mercari便 or YuuYuu Mercari便. Please only purchase if you understand and accept the above points. Please ask any questions you may have. Click here for the manufacturer's site
