This listing is for 10 cuttings from Goldcrest cypress grown in my garden, suitable for propagation. It has a unique scent that repels insects. The cuttings are approximately 10-15 cm long. (These are cuttings, so they do not have roots.) They will be cut from the parent plant on the day of shipment and soaked in Menéde for 1-2 hours before being sent. The Goldcrest cypress I grew from cuttings 5 years ago is now about 300 cm tall. The one from 3 years ago is about 180 cm tall. Purchasing Goldcrest cypress of this size at a home improvement store can be quite expensive. While it takes time, growing them from cuttings is a more economical option. Furthermore, you will develop a stronger attachment to plants you've grown from cuttings. It may take some time for roots to develop, but Goldcrest cypress cuttings are relatively hardy and unlikely to die even before rooting, so with patience, roots will eventually emerge. I would rate the difficulty of propagation somewhere between lavender and eucalyptus (Silver Dollar Gum). Eucalyptus is difficult... it often dies before rooting. Please refer to books or the internet for instructions on how to propagate cuttings. Some knowledge is necessary to prevent them from dying midway. The cut ends will be kept moist for shipping. Shipping is free via the 4th Class Mail service. Delivery within the Kanto region takes at least 2 days. For distant locations, it may take about a week. As weekend and holiday deliveries have been discontinued, the transit time may be longer if the shipment spans a weekend. Please understand that delivery may take some time and bid accordingly.
