Thank you for viewing. This is a masterpiece by the renowned Rosanjin Kitaoji... the Nichigetsu Bowl. The Nichigetsu Bowl, which creatively uses gold and silver leaf from Kanazawa to represent the sun and moon, remains a popular choice among chefs even today. *This product is urethane coated. Originally, bowls were decorated with patterns that evoked the seasons. It is said that by depicting the sun and moon (Nichigetsu), this bowl was created to be usable year-round and cherished for a long time. Its exquisite size, neither too big nor too small, and the dignified vermilion/black colors will serve its purpose well in slightly formal settings. Its wider opening than a typical soup bowl makes it suitable for zoni (Japanese soup) and simmered dishes. It is also recommended as tableware for New Year's zoni. [Size] Diameter approx. 13 cm, Height approx. 11.8 cm Height without lid approx. 7.7 cm Weight approx. 233g and 237g *Individual differences may occur. ★ Urethane coating ★ Base material → Molded product of wood powder + phenolic resin = Synthetic lacquerware ★ Includes original box, no other accessories. [Condition] This is an unused item, but there are some minor scuffs due to long-term storage. *Please refer to the attached photos. As this is a personal inspection, there may be oversights. We ask that only those who understand this proceed with the transaction. As this is a long-term storage item, please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such details. A simple cleaning has been performed. Please feel free to comment if you have any questions. Management number 267 Click here for the manufacturer's site
