This is a pre-owned men's haori (traditional Japanese jacket) meticulously hand-sewn from higetsumugi (a type of silk fabric). The material features unique, protruding threads, approximately 1cm to 1.5cm in length, creating an interesting texture that invites touch and offers a distinctive feel. (Please refer to the 10th photo.) Among men's haori, which typically show little variation in material, this style with its distinctive, beard-like protruding threads is highly popular. ・We received requests from martial arts instructors (kendo, iaido, etc.) for garments that could be worn over their dogi (uniform) and hakama. We proposed options using fabrics such as Oshima tsumugi, Yuki tsumugi, and higetsumugi. ・We have also received requests for haori and nagagi (kimono) to be sold separately, and for guidance on how to choose the correct size. (Please refer to the haori's body length,裄丈 (yuki-take), and other measurements in the product description for sizing, as the product name indicates the recommended height range.) [Recommended Height] 163.5 - 168.5 cm [Material] Higetsumugi, Navy-like color Outer fabric: 100% Genuine Silk [Haori Size] Hand-sewn Body Length (from shoulder): 88.5 cm Yuki-take (shoulder to cuff): 66.5 cm Sleeve Length: 48 cm Sleeve Width: 34.5 cm Front Width: 20.5 cm Back Width: 30.5 cm [Condition] No particularly noticeable stains or dirt, and no major damage. It is in good condition. As this is a pre-owned item, there may be some minor scuffs, fading, slight soiling, or storage odors. We have included photos of any areas of concern. We welcome bids from those who understand pre-owned kimonos. Please note that we lack the expertise to determine if there is any remaining fabric for alterations (e.g., for adjusting body length or sleeve length). *If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask. *Please carefully review the photos and purchase only after you understand and agree to the condition of the item. [Shipping Included (Seller Pays)] We will primarily ship via Yamato Transport from Aichi Prefecture. Depending on the size and destination, the shipping method may be changed to Click Post or Rakuraku Mercari便. Please understand this in advance. Click here for the manufacturer's site
