Up for sale is a rare vintage TUMI Safeport computer briefcase from the mid-to-late 1990s built with TUMI's signature ballistic nylon. The Safeport designation points to TUMI's sling suspension system designed specifically to cushion and protect the computer inside — a notable innovation for the time. No Tracer plate is present, which is consistent with and confirms the pre-1999 production date. A Windows 95 IBM modem floppy disk was also found inside. Includes: * Additional TUMI branded padded shoulder strap * Ballistic nylon construction * Laptop/computer protective compartment with suspension system * Multiple pockets and organizational compartments * Carry handle and shoulder strap * Pre-Alpha, pre-Tracer vintage production (mid-to-late 1990s) * Made in USA A legitimate collectible for TUMI enthusiasts and vintage bag collectors alike. Hard to find in any condition — rarer still with the original TUMI strap included.
