To prevent the unpleasant odors and limescale buildup characteristic of humidifiers, I thoroughly cleaned and maintained it every week during the season using baking soda and citric acid. As shown in the photos, it is not perfectly white, but it has been kept clean. I can confidently recommend this condition even to those who are hesitant about used humidifiers.
