Kenko Variable ND Filter 72mm PL FADER ND3-ND400 Stepless Adjustment with Lever Made in Japan The Kenko PL fader is an ND (Neutral Density) filter that adjusts the amount of light entering the camera by cleverly using two high-transmittance polarizing films. While ND filters typically require separate filters for each level of light reduction, the PL fader is a variable type ND filter that covers ND3 to ND400 with a single unit. 1. Variable ND Filter for Quick Light Adjustment This is extremely useful when brightness conditions change significantly during a single shoot, or to adjust for differences in light levels caused by scene changes during video and film shooting. 2. Prevents Overexposure/Washed-out Images Even at shutter speeds of 1/8000 sec, with large-aperture lenses such as F1.4 or F1.2, shooting at the widest aperture can cause overexposure/washed-out images. By using the PL FADER, you can flexibly change the amount of light reduction according to the shooting situation at the time, eliminating overexposure. 3. Easy Operation with Included Lever A dedicated lever can be attached to the filter frame, allowing for one-handed rotation even while looking through the viewfinder or at the LCD screen.
