The Montbell Sunblock Umbrella 55 is recommended for those who want to minimize the heat caused by sunlight. When tested by an external testing organization for heat shielding, which affects how heat is perceived, it achieved a top-class rating of 50%, exceeding the average of approximately 41.5%. It is expected to provide a cooling effect and will be useful for outdoor activities, as well as for outdoor viewing and concerts where you will be outside for extended periods.

It also boasts an excellent light-blocking rate of 99.98%. While most comparable products slightly exceeded this at 99.99%, this umbrella also effectively blocks sunlight and reduces glare. The UV cut rate is also high, recording 99.98% for UVB and 99.89% for UVA. True to its claim of reliable UV protection for outdoor activities, it seems to offer sufficient protection against UV rays and sunburn.

It is also lightweight and easy to carry, weighing 205g, which is lighter than a 250mL PET bottle. It is thin at 4.5cm and shorter than the overall average of approximately 31cm at 26cm. It fits snugly into an A4-sized bag. As it is designed for both sun and rain, it can also handle sudden downpours.
